15mm Octopoid Cultist summoning attack squad with Tentacle Beastie

This is my latest army idea for GRUNTZ. I was given the Cthulhu figure at Xmas from our local boardgames club "secret santa" event... I thought It would go well with the Khurasan Cultists and Octopoid dudes from 15mm.co.uk I already had... and I liked the look of the mono-bikes and weird tank sphere from Ion Age - The Cultists came with extra heads, so I swapped them on the bikes and tank. I would have liked to sculpt some flapping cloaks onto the bikers - but I wasn't confident enough  with my modelling skills for that... but I think they turned out ok...

Shadows of Brimstone... Heroes and lava dudes...

 

I thought I'd tackle the Shadows of Brimstone Heroes first, before the monsters... they've taken a while, the lighting in our kitchen is really bad, so I can only really sit down and do a bit of painting when I get a bit of time during daylight hours. I'm pleased with how they've turned out anyhow...

 

I sliced off the lady gunslinger's face when I was cutting her off the sprue... I glued it back on in an unsatisfactory manner... doesn't look too bad now she's painted...



Lava Men from the Caverns of Cyndar... These were fun to paint!

The following figures are all from the Black Scorpion Miniatures "Tombstone" line...I bought them for extra characters -  They're resin, and much better quality than the Shadows of Brimstone models...

 

This guy is my favourite!

Now the only figure I'm missing is a Nun!

I'm returning to 15mm Sci-fi for my next painting project.... and then on to the Shadows of Brimstone monsters...
